Lightroom 5 RAW+jpeg workflow

Hello, I use Lightroom 5 almost exclusively for my photos and have a workflow issue. I shoot Raw+Jpeg and love how lightroom handles the files, except that at least 75% of the time the jpeg image is perfectly acceptable. I would like to be able to click on a button or right click and "view jpeg" and even go as far as "move jpeg to front" of the RAW image. That way if I was completely satisfied with the jpeg, I could have it visible but still have the "negative" version/RAW file available in the same location just like it is now.

I'm not sure what this feature request is for - all of these things you can do in Lightroom now - provided you import jpegs separately (and the Lr preference to treat jpegs separately is the only setting that makes sense unless you never plan to do anything with the jpegs in Lightroom).

Don't get me wrong, I think the raw/jpeg handling could use some love, I just think you need to acknowledge existing capabilities, and clarify your request.

PS - RawPlusJpeg may have some features you'll find useful.

Thanks for that link, I will check that out. I'm aware of the capabilities of Lightroom as far as importing the files separately, I'm looking for some middle ground between the two current options. I like that the jpegs are sidecar files, I just want to be able to view them quickly and easily in lightroom even though they are sidecar files.

Gotcha, and I agree - the current situation is all or nothing, i.e.

1. raw+jpeg 100% separate, xor
2. jpeg completely inaccessible.

And since #2 is usually unacceptable, it's gotta be #1, in which case association/connection is 100% severed - not ideal.

Thanks for clarifying, and you got my vote :-).
