Lightroom 5 + PS CS5 automatically cropping images and i cant make it be not cropped.

Working on iMac.
Finder shows the canon CR2 files (from Canon 5Diii) with the original crop (2:3), but when i open them in PS or LR they are cropped to a weird ration 1:1.785 (or close to it). And it doesn't let me uncrop it; it acts like that's how it was shot.

I've tried setting the crop ration to "original" and "as shot". I've also tried removing them from Lightroom and deleting the xmp. sidecar files, then re-importing.
Also, it didn't do this for all of the files from the shoot just the last 236 images.

You didn't set your 5DMKIII to crop in-camera via the framing guide did you?

Excerpt:"While all images are shot and recorded full frame, 1:1, 4:3 and 16:9 framing guides are available and RAW files are tagged with the selected aspect ratio information for use in the supplied Canon DPP Raw processing software."

Lightroom honors the in-camera framing guide.

You can recover the area two ways.

1. Go to Canon's DPP software and create a Tiff
2. Use the Adobe Recover Edges Plugin to gain back the information.

I would recommend that you turn off the in-camera 16:9 framing guide.
