Lightroom 5: It is possible to change settings of photos that are offline w/o smart previews

Normally, if an image is offline (parent folder is currently not available), and there is no smart preview, all development controls are locked.

However, this is not the case at least for: Reset (via context menu in library), automatic WB (via menu in develop or context menu in develop/library), automatic tone (same) and black/white (same).

I.e. you can change the development settings for an offline image without smart preview using those loopholes. A big problem of that behaviour is that you don't see the change in the preview image. But as soon as the original image is online again, the changes are seen.

Note: The changes can always be undone using the history - if you notice/remember them!

LR 5 final 64 Bit on Windows 7.

Edit: This is not a LR 5 specific bug. LR 4.4 had the same bug, and probably previous versions, too.

Workaround: don't Reset, change WB, ... when images are offline. (sorry LRuser24 - mostly joking...) - good catch.
