Hi Zachary,

When you say you cannot paint, what specifically is happening? Does the brush outline not appear over the image? Does it seem to paint a stroke, but no effect is applied?

I had this same problem today with Lightroom 5.2. The problem went away when I logged out and opened it back up. Not sure if it will return again or not.

I have the same problem, I have to click on the image many times (with the brush) to get it to work. I'm on a mac.

I had the same problem in 5.3, and now also in 5.4. At some stage, the brush just does not work, it does not paint. If you close and re-open LR, it's fine.

I believe it MAY be related to moving between images while the adjustment brush enabled, but this does not break it every time. I just have the feeling that it's under these circumstances that it gets lost. I used to be a software tester, so my brain sometimes remembers these things.
