Lightroom 5.5:Export Out Of Memory. Constantly, persistently, maddeningly!!

Running Windows 7-32 bit, 4gb ram and I constantly get "out of memory" error when trying to export. It doesn't matter if it's 1 or 100 files. I'm importing Canon Raw (CR2) taken with the largest setting and exporting 16 bit tiffs after having made simple lens corrections. I've seen the forums and none of the answers are satisfactory. The one prevailing suggestion is to go to 64 bit and 16 GB of memory. As a former programmer I know that's just an attempt to bandaid the problem by putting the onus on the user to correct a rather serious program bug that Adobe doesnt seem to want to fix. Please fix it..it shouldn't be that complicated.

How much memory does LR say it has available in LR / Help / System Info, both when you first open it, and after it runs out of memory?

It would be a bug if LR would export 10 images ok but not 100, as it would indicate a memory leak, but if it doesn't even export 1 image without a memory error then it doesn't have enough memory. I believe LR uses quite a bit of memory to cache intermediate results in Develop to keep things at a reasonable speed, and lens corrections are something that likely takes quite a few resources.

Did LR 5.4 work ok? You could downgrade to LR 5.4 and see if things work any better. There's really nothing new on LR 5.5 except compatibility with newer ACR functions that aren't in LR, yet, or new cameras.

Lightroom 5.5 export Out Of Memory

Well I updated to 5.5, but it wasn't long before I went back to 5.4.
It was obvious the update was causing the problem so I'll stay
with 5.4 on till Adobe fix the problem.

I have the same issue after Upgrading from 5.4 to 5.6.
Version von Lightroom: 5.6 [974614]
License type: Perpetual
Betriebssystem: Windows 7 Business Edition
Version: 6.1 [7601]
Anwendungsarchitektur: x86
Systemarchitektur: x86
Anzahl logischer Prozessoren: 2
Prozessorgeschwindigkeit: 2.5 GHz
Integrierter Speicher: 3263.3 MB

After opening LR5.6:
Für Lightroom verfügbarer phys. Speicher: 716.8 MB
Von Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher: 527.1 MB (73.5%)
Von Lightroom verwendeter virtueller Speicher: 512.9 MB

After exporting 1 RAW:
Für Lightroom verfügbarer phys. Speicher: 716.8 MB
Von Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher: 703.5 MB (98.1%)
Von Lightroom verwendeter virtueller Speicher: 688.6 MB

After exporting another RAW:
Für Lightroom verfügbarer phys. Speicher: 716.8 MB
Von Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher: 667.6 MB (93.1%)
Von Lightroom verwendeter virtueller Speicher: 650.8 MB

After exporting another 3 RAWs:
Für Lightroom verfügbarer phys. Speicher: 716.8 MB
Von Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher: 1036.6 MB (144.6%)
Von Lightroom verwendeter virtueller Speicher: 1077.8 MB
while memory erro happened during export of the 3rd RAW.

Note: the memor goes upt to 190% (Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher) during exporting.

I will move back to 5.4 to see if it is better there,,,

With LR5.4 (and the same RAWs to export)

After opening LR5.4:
Für Lightroom verfügbarer phys. Speicher: 716.8 MB
Von Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher: 639.8 MB (89.2%)
Von Lightroom verwendeter virtueller Speicher: 640.6 MB

After exporting 1 RAW:
Für Lightroom verfügbarer phys. Speicher: 716.8 MB
Von Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher: 726.3 MB (101.3%)
Von Lightroom verwendeter virtueller Speicher: 709.2 MB

After another 3 RAWs:
Für Lightroom verfügbarer phys. Speicher: 716.8 MB
Von Lightroom verwendeter phys. Speicher: 1034.9 MB (144.3%)
Von Lightroom verwendeter virtueller Speicher: 1018.4 MB
The memory goes up only to 160% and all 3 RAWs get exported.

Exporting 28 RAWs let the memory go up to 180%, but not more, and finally all get exported without error message... So there is a difference in LR5.4 to 5.6!!!

Try export under "Library" NOT "Develop"

Do you know why it exports in Library and not Develop?

A logical guess would be that Develop uses more memory than Library
