Hover shows grossly incorrect preview in Navigator and click (on neutral grey) sets the incorrect white balance.

Seems OK on Canon 7D raw (CR2) files but not 5D Mk III raw.

Hi Stephen - I'm unable to reproduce this issue on Win 7 using CR2s of color charts shot with the 5DMK3. Do you have any settings applied to the image?

By any chance do you have local white balance adjustments for this image?

Does this happen on all your images from 5D Mark III? Or, only some of the images?

Hi Eric, No adjustments of any kind, no crop. Image goes a blue tint on all 5D III raw images. Thanks, Steve

Stephen - I'm unable to reproduce this with your file and settings on Win 7 64. Did this file exist in your catalog prior to upgrade?

Hi Kelly, Image is new today and imported into existing catalog that was created in Lr 5 beta. Will try a new catalog and import in the morning (it's 2am here and I'm going to bed :) Thanks for looking at the problem. S

Hi Kelly/Eric,
So, I've now created a new catalog, done a 'Reset all default Develop settings' in Preferences, imported the images into the new catalog. Still get incorrect preview in Navigator and bad result if clicked, only with 5D III raw - no difference irrespective Loupe, Auto Dismiss or Scale settings. JPGs work fine.
For the artillery pic I sent link to, using the nearest gun barrel (which should be very close to grey, R46%, G46%, B50%) after clicking we get R 46%, G38%, B87% at that point. If I undo that and go for the green grass it starts at R33%, G38%, B19% and after clicking becomes R33%, G35%, B48%. Tried with other images and all get a blue cast with a distinct blue peak at the top end of the highlights range.
I was awaiting the Export sharpening fix before upgrading to LR5 and so far I haven't found any other issues with this version that would affect how I use LR.
Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

Can you please take one of these 5DIII raw images and export it from Lr as a DNG file? (i.e., in the Export dialog, set the file type to DNG) This will embed your image settings into the resulting DNG. Then please either post the DNG or send it to me at madmanchan2000@yahoo.com (you can use Dropbox, YouSendIt.com, or similar file transfer means).

Thanks,
Eric
