Lightroom 5.2 fresh install of trial version not displaying images at all both before during and after import. Windows 7 64 bit machine. I have updated computer and video card (GeForce 9500gt) The import recognises there are photos in the drive and folders as there are blank places where the image thumbnails should be and metadata but no actual image.

Update:
I have un-installed Lightroom then reinstalled and also reset the pref files. I still get the same problem.
For a second when I try to import a folder of photos both jpeg and RAW I see tags in each blank place holder for the thumbnails describing the files but these quickly disappear leaving the import dialogue window the same as the attached screen grab.

That has all the hallmark of a corrupt monitor profile. You can easily check that by setting the profile (temporarily) to sRGB in the systems's Colour Management dialog. Full instructions are available in this post:

Thank you Jim Wilde, thank you so very much.
That was the problem I've never had that before. As it happens, I am using two monitors and neither had a profile set at all.
So now I need to get a profile for both my monitors Acer and impression V7. I'll check the manufacturers website and see if I have the CD's that came with the monitors.
I've only got 15 days left of my trial period so I'd better get cracking.
Thank you once again.
