Lightroom 4 White Balance not zeroed when using Gradient and Adjustment Brush Tools

White Balance slider in As Shot position used to behave as if it was zeroed in LR3. Now when I use the adjustment brush or gradient tool it automatically changes the local white balance on the image. This means that every time I use the gradient or adjustment brush I first have to manually zero the white balance slider. I experience this as a bug - but maybe I'm missing something?

Zero it before starting to paint.

It just remembers the position you started a local correction last time..

Oh I see - it carries it over from any adjustment to a PREVIOUS image! Many thanks.
