Lightroom 4: "Reset tone", "Reset presence" etc. does not work after resetting defaults in preferences dialog

The "single reset" buttons (the setting groups captions that turn to "Reset xyz" when holding down the alt key) do not work correctly after all default develop settings have been reset using the preferences dialog. They do not reset to Adobe defaults - instead, they reset to the previous default settings. Switching to another image and back corrects the problem and the single reset buttons work correctly then and reset to Adobe defaults as expected.

However, the reset butten that resets everything in the image works correctly.

The "single reset" buttons also work correctly if the default settings for the specific camera are reset using Alt and the "Set default..." button.

I didn't get it...

Can you describe it step by step, then what you get and what you expect?

1. Load a raw photo in develop
2. Reset to adobe defaults
3. Set exposure to +1
4. Button "Set default" -> "update to current settings"
[Now every time the reset button is used or Alt is pressed and "Reset Tone" is clicked or the exposure slider is doubleclicked, the exposure resets back to the new default value +1]
5. Preferences -> Presets -> Button "Reset all default development settings", close Preferences
6. Hold down alt key and click on "Reset Tone", OR double-click on exposure slider

Expected behaviour of step 6: Exposure resets to 0
Actual behaviour of step 6: Exposure still resets to +1

If you switch to another image and back, it works as expected. If you replace step 5 with Button "Set Default" -> "Restore Adobe settings", it work as expected, too.

P.S. Of course, this is only a very minor bug - nothing serious.

Yes, I have reproduced this little bug.
Damn, I've ruined my develop defaults. :-S

Oops, sorry :-(

I forgot to warn about that. So, for all those who want to reproduce this bug (or similar problems): You will lose your defaults, so BACK THEM UP!

I.e. go to AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Defaults (Win7, other platforms may vary) and backup the Default_nnnnn.xmp files. After experimenting, they are all gone and you can copy them back there (LR stopped). Note: I am not 100% sure whether this is safe, my question regarding backup of the defaults is still open: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...
