Lightroom 4 Layout Overlay proportions are wrong

Has anyone else noticed that images or layouts brought into LR4 as overlays are slightly skinnier or shorter than they should be? It's easy to check by exporting a picture then converting it to a png in Photoshop and bringing it back into LR as an overlay. Resize holding command and when one side is the same length as the image beneath, the other side is too short or too long. Am I doing something wrong? Can this be fixed? It's a useless feature otherwise.

I performed the test as you described it. My image comes in identical on height and width. I don't see a problem. I am also testing on a PC.

That said, it maybe unique to your system.

The easiest test to perform is to rename your preferences file and allow Lightroom to rebuild it upon next start up of the application. That may clear it.

Before that, have you:

1. Restarted LR
2. Rebooted your computer
3. Tried it with a fresh catalog?

Edit: Tried it on my Mac as well and it appears to be functioning properly there.

Hi Rikk,

Well trashing the prefs worked, so thank you. Genius!

Regards,
