Can you try Lightroom 4.4 Public RC, now available at labs.adobe.com?

Thanks Becky, I may do.
I have had a few very strange conversations with Adobe support. They have asked me to enable my Admin desktop (ID) and run Lightroom from there. It seems that there may be a permissions issue in my personal ID which is causing Lightroom to hang/crash. Despite it running for up to two hours at a time before it does so, she is convinced it is not a problem with Lightroom.
I have set up domains, built countless computers and have managed networks and in all the 30 years that I have been involved, I have never had to run a program on the Admin desktop to make it run. I smell a rat!!

I have installed 4.4RC and it works perfectly on my own desktop.
Obviously there was an issue with 4.3 and the only workaround was to use the Administrator desktop.
I do wish that the support people would be straight with people. I have been involved with computers for long enough now to know when I'm being fobbed off.
My contact was adamant that it was a problem with my setup.
Oh well, at least it is working. Thankful for small mercies!
