What exactly is faulty about the image?

What occurs is that when crop is being used, and the images is being sized or rotated for example, the image will suddenly zoom in to 100% crop (of course ruining the crop sample) and then randomly return to normal size and the correct crop. It surely must be a bug of some sort unless the crop action has been radically changed since version 2, where this was never an issue. Thanks

Sorry. Can't see any misbehaviour in crop mode. Can you please post a step-by-step instruction, as well as you system info and LR version (4,0 or 4,1RC?).

I am experiencing a similar problem when trying to crop a rotated image. Cursor movement becomes erratic and uncontrollable. Had to do the crop in Photoshop after several attempts. This seems to occur when using a custom ratio. In this case 9.6 x 2.38. The only time this seems to occur is which the combination of a custom ration, rotation and crop.

I have duplicated this. When I enter your custom ratio, I get a crop overlay that floats outside the image bounds when I rotate. Not expected behavior. I tested on Windows and will test on Mac.

Step By Step/
R to Select Crop Tool
Select Custom
Enter Custom... ( I used the 9.6x2.38 values Bob gave us)
Rotate crop either by handles or slider.
Crop does not rotate as expected.

@Bob Simrak: Which version of Lightroom are you using? 4.0? 4.1RC1? 4.1RC2? Is your original a JPEG or Raw file?
