Lightroom 4 and HDR, -best companion apps??

With LR4 32bit tiff edit capability I would like to use it as my core HDR app. What is lacking is multi-exposure image alignment and the blending of the various exposures into the 32bit tiff format with ghost and halo rejection . I've been looking at a lot of apps, but there are so many to evaluate I'd like to skip to the final few best choices.

I know having full Photoshop CS6 and Photomatix is a sound choice used, but I am not going to buy CS6 just to obtain the image alignment. I mostly want some good performing apps to do the functions listed above without a lot of other features I won't use.

What apps are people using with LR4 as the central platform ,and other apps for image alignment and creation of the 32 bit tiff?

Of course having these function built into LR would be sweetest, but I won't hold my breath for that.

Thanks.

Photomatix works as a plugin directly to Lightroom, and does alignment. Works for me to make over-the-top images, as well as more subtle images.

HDR/exposure blending is such a personal thing that I don't see Adobe offering a one-stop solution.

Are you using the full Photomatix or just the LR plugin?

If just the LR plugin are you satisfied with the ghosting, halos and alignment? If I understand correctly the full version is needed to make any significant user input to those functions.

Thanks.
