Lightroom 4.3-Develop Module not working properly

lightroom is not performing properly in the develop mode. sometimes the pictures do not show up and if they do any edits do not affect them. but if you open that same pic up again in library the edits did take effect. problem is i can't edit them and see what i am doing to them in the develop mode that is if they even appear there-most of the time just a grey blank area with an edge appears. I have windows 7. and at the top of the program on the left side it will say i am in lbrary mode when I'm clearly in develop-well at least i think..... I used the trial version without any problems. As soon as I purchased, all this was happening. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, restarted, created new catalogs....Any ideas? Judi

Sounds like it could be bad video drivers. You can try updating those.

If you can, when you feel you are in Develop when the menu says Library, do a screen-capture and add that image to a message reply.

Thanks for your help, We did that. Still nothing. So what does a mother do? I conferred with my son and he found the problem! When I purchased the software, it conflicted with th icc profile of my monitor, which was calibrated by my colormunki. Once he deleted that and downloaded the color profile for my model monitor-everything worked perfectly. Thanks again for your concern. Judi

You should redo your Colormunki monitor profile but make a ICC v2 rather than an ICC v4 profile:
