Lightroom: Altered colors (white) in exports with water marks.

In Lightroom 4.1, 64-bit, on Windows 7 Pro 64, I'm seeing a problem with exported images that have fully saturated whites (i.e. RGB 255, 255,255) that when exported with a watermark are rendered with those whites as very light gray (RGB 254,254,254).

In my testing I've determined it, doesn't matter whether what the color space is or whether the watermark is an image or just Lightroom generated text. In any event, simply turning the watermark off, and re-exporting will produce an image with white whites. Instead of gray ones.

I reported this previously with Lr 4.1 without much traction, the problem still persists in 4.2RC.

Exporting or publishing an image with a watermark (either text or image) will cause the image colors to be reduced by 1 RGB value.

For example white (RGB(255,255,255) will be exported as RGB(254, 254, 254), or a mid-saturated red RGB(205, 58, 50) will be exported as RGB(204, 57, 49). Not checking the watermark option on export, will produce the expected colors.

I had initially believed that this was only limited to white, as it was most obvious in high-key images on pure white that were then set on a pure white web page. However I've since confirmed that it affects all colors, reducing the RGB values by 1 from what is expected.

Running LR4.2RC1 (though I saw the problem in LR4.1 and possibly LR4.0 but I can't be sure) on Windows 7 Pro x64.

The team is aware of this bug, but looks like it is not a high priority one at the moment.

I also have the same problem with images for a customer : The background is white (#ffffff) but when I export it with a watermark, LR change it for #fefefe and I can see the difference on the web site as the images are on used on a white (really white) background.

I have to process 100's of images and it will take longer if I use PS. If you could please take a look for a fix, it would be appreciated!
