Lightroom: User web templates have all gone missing

I'm reporting this here in hopes that someone else has had the same experience. Details are sketchy. I'm running LR 3.5 on an OSX 10.7 machine. Sometime after upgrading to LR 3.5, and before upgrading to Lion, I have discovered that all of my user defined web templates (about 80) are not showing in LR and are nowhere to be found on my machine. I've looked in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Web Templates/User Templates and the folder is empty. I've also looked in Machintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom and they aren't there either.

A search for lrtemplate only finds the default LR templates.

This is a bummer because I had a web template and a SlideShopPro template for each client shoot that I had done.

I've just had to re-install LR5 on my PC and I can't find my User Templates panel either? How do I get it back?
