I,m a beginner. How do I start? Are there a set of steps to guide me through the start of Lightroom 3?
There is so much info, but no specific place to start working with Lightroom3

Perhaps you are asking for a suggested "workflow" using Lightroom 3.

The basic steps each time you have new pictures might be:

1 - Import - drag-and-drop onto the Library Module main area or use File / Import and find the images. You can also import directly from the memory card.
2 - Examine/Rate/Cull/Keyword - using the Library module
3 - Adjust - using the Develop module
4 - Export/Publish - using File / Export or create a publish collection to update an online gallery

Try the Lightroom channel on where some things might be explained more for LR 2 but the high-level steps are the same.
