Will Lightroom 3.6 which currently runs on a 32-bit operating system (Windows Vista) run on a 64-bit operating system (Windows 7) - or do I have to buy a new software pack.

Yes, Win 7 64 Bit should be ok, see here: https://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...

Quote: "OS: Microsoft® Windows® 7, Windows Vista® Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit and 64-bit editions)..."

The installer will automatically choose the appropriate version for your system (i.e. will install the 64 Bit version if Windows is 64 Bit).

Thanks, I have the installation disk and trust that this will install to a 64-bit system even though it was previously installed on a 32-bit one.

Once I isntall Lightroom, I will need to reinstall the database from a back-up drive so as not to lose all the work I've done before. Does anyone know how best to achieve this?
