Lightroom 3: how did I trash my videos, and can I get them back?

I have a question that I would appreciate anyone replying to using my email as that is what I check the most often and I am admittedly not the best with forum boards. I imported some pics and vids from my camera from a recent trip I took. I know that Lightroom doesn't support vids so I just trashed them planning to import them later from my camera into another video editing software program. When I went back to the camera to import them I discovered that they had been deleted after import which is probably a setting I mistakenly applied. I checked my Mac trash bin and didn't see the videos located there. I'm wondering if there is a way to retrieve them from Lightroom? I'm fairly new to the program and could use some help. Many thanks in advance.

You can't delete from the Camera with LR, and if LR imported them, then it probably supports them.

Thank you Lee Jay. Yes - Lightroom 3 will import videos but won't allow you to do anything with them, so, once I moved the videos to the trash on my Mac I just assumed since I hadn't emptied the trash I could just go and retrieve them. They weren't there. Now, I'm wondering if I might be able to locate them somewhere in the netherworld of Lightroom - LOL! If you know how I could go about this it would be an excellent help.

Thx

Tony
