The Canon Rebel t7i has been out for over a year and still no tethering support.  It just stinks that you buy a new camera that supports wireless tethering and lightroom can't catch up.  It is not because of the SDK either, because other alternative products can tether with this model.

The EOS Rebel T7i was first supported in Canon Digital Camera SDK v3.6, which was released June 2017:

Dear Adobe,

Please support Tether Capture in Lightroom for the Sony A7Riii. It would be tremendously helpful. Thank you.

New NIKON camera models are not supported - Nikon Coolpix P1000 RAW files are not recognized. How long will it take to get these updates?

When will Adobe add tethering for Fujifilm cameras like the very popular X-T20 and other Fujifilm models?

I am no expert on tethered shooting. Nikon and Canon and a few Leica models are the only cameras that are supported for tethered shooting in Lightroom. My understanding is that is because they provide a SDK that Adobe can reference. Apparently Fuji does not provide that, and therefore there is no support for ANY Fuji cameras as far as tethered shooting is concerned. Perhaps someone with more knowledge about tethered shooting and has more understanding of the technology can provide further insight.

Fuji offer their own Lightroom plug-in for tethering, so Fuji are the people you need to ask to add it.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom: Support for Canon 5D Mark III tethering.

tested Canon 30D and Canon 5D MII and they work fine (not happy that its not any faster at capture than LR3 was) but when connecting new 5DMIII it recognizes cam in the tether window but shows 'busy' on camera and wont allow me to click the shutter. Rebooted, restarted everything, still doesnt work...in all scenarios tested, the older cameras work no problem...

OS is Mac 10.7.3

Is there anything else you need to know?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom: Provide tethered capture support for Olympus dSLRs.

Why is it that Lightroom still does not have any support for Olympus digital slrs? I'd love to have tethered shooting and camera profiles directly in Lightroom. With every new upgrade I think "is this the one where my Olympus E3 is recognised?" The answer is always in the negative. Why are Olympus slr users second-class citizens to Adobe?

Why was there no support for 600d for tethered capture added to LR4? It was already missing in 3 and 550d is supported which is basicly same camera.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom: Tethering support for Nikon D7200.

I moved from LR 5 to LR CC and bought a Nikon D7200 about the same time. Lightroom CC does not recognize my D7200 for shooting tethered. I recently updated to LR CC Release 2015.2 and still do not have support. When will that happen? As a macro shooter, I am disappointed and frustrated.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom: Tether support for Canon EOS-1DX.

With LR4.1 and LR4.2RC - I can set up tethering with a Canon EOS-1DX, but cannot shoot. Whenever a button is pushed on the camera, including the shutter, the top display reports 'busy' and nothing happens.

I'm using a recent MacBook Pro 2.7GHz i7, OS 10.8.1 and connecting with USB 2.0

Please have a look and try to address this issue in the next release. Thanks!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom: Support tethered shooting with Pentax K5.

I use LR4 and a Pentax K5. Adobe must be pleased that Pentax is one of the few manufacturers to support DNG format. It seems surprising that Adobe has chosen not to offer tethered shooting with Pentax.
Is Adobe planning to support Pentax tethering?

It seems that Lightroom doesn't support Teathered capture for my Nikon D810.

Can anyone help me understand when that support will be available?

Please create Phase One tethered plug-in for Lightroom 3. I cannot tolerate the instability of Capture One software and my only work-around is auto-import which is slow. We love the Adobe products as they really function as a suite.

Why is the Nikon D80 not suppored by tethering in Lightroom 3. Two older models from Canon, EOS 350D and EOS 400D, are supported?
Please add the Nikon D80 so I can start using Lightroom 3.

Adobe gives me the impression that If you have an older camera that you don't cound. Not everyone has a lot of money Adobe!!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Boring Title: Lightroom Support for Panasonic DMC GH-1 and 2.

Because of the great versatility and popularity of the above camera models, it would meet certain business needs if Lightroom would support:

1. anamorphic scaling similar to Photoshop's Pixel Aspect Ratio menu
2. shooting tethered
3. lens corrections for 14mm and 14-140 (realize this might not cover all needs but these seem to be among the most popular sizes)

1. would assist in working with a proper sized image where anamorphic shots were taken in non-movie mode
2. would assist in shooting with these cameras

Perhaps 1. could be done with a user preset but I must admit incompetence on how to do that. Couldn't find one already done via searching...

If any of this is covered, I apologize in advance for not finding it.

Can Adobe add tethered support for Leaf APTUS 75 camera backs in Lightroom 4? I use Lightroom 3 tethered with Nikon D3 and Canon ds1 MKIII and Capture One with the Leaf Aptus 75 because Lightroom only tethers with the most recent Leaf back. C'mon, Adobe, please? The Leaf Aptus is only 4 or 5 years old.
