Lightroom: Photos uploaded via web aren't syncing to the desktop

I would like to be able to upload to Lightroom Web directly and have that sync to Lightroom desktop.  I had an emergency that required me to upload the contents of my CF card to Lr web.  Now I can't get the RAW images back and files can only be downloaded one at a time.  For simplicity's sake it would be nice if files uploaded directly to Lr web would sync to the desktop version of the software.  I do see the images in Lr Mobile so origination from the web does sync somewhat.

Doesn't that happen "ONLY" if you upload to the cloud? 

I've been wanting to have my LR catalog shared between my desktop and my laptop for years now, and that's still not an option. (I don't upload any RAW files into my iPad or can use the mobile version).

I am actually having same issue right now and am trying to sort out as well. Seems like I've had a ton of issues with my creative cloud ...editing online lightroom ever since upgrade occurred from Windows 8 to Windows 10
