Lightroom still suffering from huge memory leaks

Lightroom 5.6 still suffers from memory leaks. After a while of normal usage, especially culling pictures, tagging, geotagging, or anything that appears to involve a lot of switching back and forth between pictures, produces memory usage to the point of my computer almost grinding to a complete halt.

Switching over to the task manager, I can oftenly see lightroom devouring my memory like it's fresh-bakes cookies. 6GB usage, absolutely redonkulous, especially when I have 8GB which should be enough for anything.

Rebooting Lightroom works around the issue, but only for so long. Rebooting Lightroom MUST NOT become the de-facto solution.

Lightroom has been having this problem for absolutely ages, and I'm quite sick and tired of it eating my memory, becoming slow, and thus eating my cpu as well. And on the go, as a bonus, it eats my battery like no tomorrow. Thanks lads, now would you PLEASE FIX IT ALREADY? It's been more than long enough since we've been putting up with this problem.

@Adobe: Fix needed. Critical priority.
