Lightroom: Stalling/not responding between commands

My LightRoom CC is not responding. When it does, it takes minutes just to set a rating or change modules or even zoom in and out on an image. And once I do a command like SET RATING, the 'setting rating" pop up isn't going away. Seems like a huge glitch in the LRCC My new Mac desktop is only weeks old so I know there isn't an issue there. It just started doing this today. I shut down the program and backed it up. That didn't fix it. I restarted my computer and that didn't fix it either. HELP!

What OS version are you using?
Which specific Lightroom version are you using?

Chris I have the latest Yosemte in my Mac. It's a brand new Mac, 3 weeks old. And the latest LR creative cloud version. The person before you said to roll back to the previous version of LR before the update to see if that helps.

If you're on 2015.2.1, see this post. You can roll back to the prior 2015.1.1/6.1.1 update until things are reverted and corrected: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjourn...
