Lightroom: Soft proofing, check box for individual image, virtual copy

A problem in my LR workflow (using suggestions by Jeff Schewe), and an idea that would really help. I use a "Master image," followed by virtual copies as soft-proofs for different papers and setting adjustments. I have "sets" of Master and virtual soft proofs for both color and b/w. I wish the SP check box was "sticky" to the individual image instead of a general Develop module screen selection. I am constantly having to remember (and too often forgetting) to check and uncheck the SP box.

I want this too.  Its extremely annoying having to click it and un-click it when changing between a master and a soft proof version.

I just want to refresh my need for this!
In Photoshop, my soft proof workflow is to make a copy to a second window, tile the windows and switch proof mode on for the second window.  I adjust the SP version against the original.  It seems the Reference mode in Lightroom is made for this except that SP mode is global.  PLEASE make Soft Proof a parameter of each image, or better still, a Pane in the Develop module.
