I want to export video (1080 or 720 minimum) in Lightroom Slideshow with music and landscape/portrait/cropped images. I can't believe this issue has been running for a few years. My first wedding shoot - stressed.  Can anyone help please.

Jim14,

First step - update to 7.5, released earlier today. If you still see the issue afterwards come back here with some system information and slideshow details I can share with the team.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi Rick.  Now updated to Lightroom Classic CC 7.5
The export still does not work at 1080 or 720.  I allowed 5 minutes on each export to show any signs on the export progress bar - top left of Lightroom window - no activity.

The slideshow has 157 RAW images - portrait, landscape and various cropped.
All images were selected prior to export attempts.
Export at 640 x 480 works, but is not good enough to present to a client.

I'm using: iMac 27" 5K Late 2014
24GB Memory
macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6

I have converted all the same files to JPEG and am attempting to export video at 1080.  I'm not seeing any activity at all in the progress bar.  I'll leave it a while.

If you do a test video with a handful of Landscape-only images, does that work?

No - 5 landscape images selected.  I've also removed the music.  Still no success

I just did a test on a MBPr 10.13.6 with 14 JPEGS - mixture of portrait and landscape and no sound. 1080 P Export was about a minute and 30 seconds.  The video plays correctly in Quicktime.

Let's start with the basics: Perform a preference reset:

A Preference File will survive a Lightroom uninstall/reinstall. Sometimes weird behavior is corrected/cured by resetting the preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.

Does the test video create after resetting the preferences?

I have mistakenly started the full slideshow video export, with RAW files (not the test export.
Guess what...it appears to be working!!  It has been running for about 15 minutes and it has progressed about 40%.
I hope I haven't spoken too soon!

Rikk, before I created my problem report, I searched for and read many reports on this very subject in this Photoshop Family forum.  There were many upset and even angry photographers. Many of these were quite recent. None of the reports that I read, ended in successful results.  I suggest your success should be shared across the platform.
