When I browse my photos in Lightroom, the Library module shows strange altitudes in EXIF data. I just shot 163 images on a swamp here in Finland. The correct altitude is 45 meters above sea level. Lightroom shows 93,6 meters, 37,5 meters, 27 meters and 53,6 meters depending which image of the very same sequence I watch. The pictures are taken with Canon EOS 7D Mark II. There were similar problems with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional DNG files.

Hi Tuomo,

As you have mentioned that the altitude info set by the camera is different on both the images. Lightroom shows the same values in the Metadata panel once these images are imported. Lighroom only reads the values from the metadata present in the image.

You can correct the GPS values for all your images using Map module where you can set all the images to one pin (completely zoomed-in map) corresponding to the position you were at.

I hope this helps. Please get back to us if you need anymore details.
