Windows 10 shut Lightroom 6 down because of a memory resource issue (I have 24 GB of RAM). Here's the event log entry:

"Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: lightroom.exe (136) consumed 50422136832 bytes, sqlservr.exe (3396) consumed 368971776 bytes, and mstsc.exe (10632) consumed 269201408 bytes."

I had previously synchronized a folder with under 100 pictures in it. It was acting sluggins. This is version 6.1.1 of LR.

I am having the same problems. My computer starts to really slow down and I look and the virtual memory pagefile went to 60gb! and Windows 10 prompts a critical error that it is out of memory and I must close Lightroom. Never had an issue before. It is not offloading the things it is holding in memory. I have 20,000 photos.
