It will be very helpful if i could rate a picture with two colors (regardless stars and flags)
For example: Yellow pics to flag family and green to mark panoramic pics with family or when you have two sets of panoramic pics next to each other and you want to distinguish between them so green and blue...

Could you give details about how your idea differs from LR's existing color labels?  See

Hi John,
I want to assign two colors to a picture.
Now you can assign only one color and it will be the last one you assigned.
For example pressing the number 6 will set red and if you click 7 it will change to yellow and obviously it will remain yellow until you will change it.
You can have only one color assign to a picture and it doesn't matter what color and how you label that color.
I want to have the ability to assign two colors, for example: blue and yellow at the same time.
for me i use yellow to flag family members and blue to flag panoramic sets but i do sometimes have panoramic sets with family and i want to assign two color so i will be able to filter more easily.
That means that the filter will need to improve as well in order to incorporate the ability of assigning two colors.
If you know how to do it i would be grateful.
If not i would appreciate if Adobe will add it to the next update, i'm sure it will come handy for many.
My thought is using Alt or Ctrl key with the numbers 6-9 to add the second color.

Got it, thanks. That detail will help Adobe understand the request.

This is what keywords are for and are not limited by the “few” labels.

I agree that keywords have more flexibility, but a big advantage of color labels is that they are visually displayed, while keywords are harder to see visually.

Ability to add two label colors would probably require a change to the XMP specification, but adding more colors should be possible. The problem is that it may become more difficult to differentiate the label colors since the thumbnail background uses a lower saturation tint. Of course Adobe could use the actual label color, but then users may complain it makes reviewing the actual thumbnail image difficult.

Providing the ability to add two color labels makes the most sense even if it requires updating the XMP specification.

I'm going to merge this post with the above similar post, which already has five Me Two votes.
