lightroom printing light color from edge of image to edge of cell on MacOS 10.10

I am having a problem with Lightroom CC 2015.2.1 where I got a very pale blue color being printed in the space between the edge of the image and the edge of the cell. I am not printing a page background color nor any of the other page options.

What could be causing this?

What OS version are you using?
What printer brand and model are you using?

OS X 10.10.5 with an Epson 3800. It occurs to me that I recently switched to the Canson Platine paper, which is a luster paper that uses the photo black cartridge. I didn't have this problem with Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, which uses the matte black cartridge. On the otherhand, I also use the Kirkland Glossy Photo Paper and I don't have the same problem with that one.

The obvious solution for now is to make sure the cell size is exactly the same as the image size, but it annoys and frustrates me that I have to work around the software like that!

That sounds like an old bug that Epson and Apple fixed a few years ago -- Epson converted the background color, and with some profiles it didn't convert to pure white, so they'd print odd colors in areas that should have been blank.

So you may just need to change to a different profile for that paper.

Doing a little research reveals that was with version 4 color profiles, but the profile I am using is version 2.4. Apparently the problem is with the operating system and ColorSync doing a conversion that isn't necessary. I even built my own profile with I1 and it has the same problem. It is interesting that it is just with this paper. Still baffled.

Hmm. That one will have to be worked out between Apple and Epson. I'm not sure why it would be specific paper, especially with different profiles. But Apple's print and colorsync code have had similar problems in the past (as you found).
