Lightroom Preferences Edit causes Crash after Windows 10 upgrade.

I upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1 recently.
I use Lightroom 2015.3.
Now I cannot edit the Preferences file ... this causes Lightroom to crash.
I tried replacing the preferences file, launching LR with Shift+Alt, but it made no difference.
Can anyone suggest a fix please?

Thank you

Michael

Hold down Shift + Alt key while launching Lr 6.3, it gives you an option to reset your Lr preferences.

If it is still crashing, I suspect that you might have GPU display driver issue. See https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html

Thank you Simon. I manually edited the profile file to set the appropriate graphics driver setting to "false" and the problem was solved. Interestingly, when I experimented after this using the Lightroom system info or graphics prefs edit, LR crashed, confirming the cause. I have located the Intel driver update program and will investigate further this evening.
