Lightroom: Paste previous settings from 1 or 2 images back

Lightroom: I'm not sure if this exists or not, but I would like the Previous button in Lightroom to be able to paste settings from an image 1 or 2 back. For example, you use multiple cameras to shoot an event and you want to edit them based on capture time. Better yet would be a shortcut to paste the settings from 1 or 2 images previous or hold down the option key and click on the thumbnail you want to paste settings from. Let me know if there's already a shortcut or setting for this or how I would go about submitting this as a suggestion.

No it's not already possible, but I've had need for a multiple-clipboard situation myself in the past, so I'd support the idea.

(edit: I meant to say 2 or 3 images back)

Thanks Victoria. The Previous button is a huge part of my workflow. I think option- or command-clicking a thumbnail in the filmstrip to paste its settings would work best for me. Right now I have to go back and select the previous image I want to paste from, then select the current image I'm working on, then hit cmd-opt-v or Previous. This gets very cumbersome when working on hundreds or thousands of photos from an event where the white balance and exposure change gradually over time. Copying and pasting settings would be just as much of a hassle.
