My Canon 7D Mark II can save Jpegs and Raw files to the same card. When Lightroom imports from that card it only imports jpegs, I then need to save the CR2 file to my C drive then import them from there. Can this be resolved to do I need to keep saving to C and import from there

Oh, I've just had a thought.  The Canon 7D Mk2 has dual card slots?  Are the raw+jpegs definitely being saved to the same card?  Are you using a card reader or direct camera connection?

Hi Victoria,

Yes the Canon 7D mark II has 2 card slots but Canon has confirmed to me when i contacted them that the camera saves both types to the same card which, to me, misses the point to have 2 cards however we can write to the two cards at the same time so both cards then have both types of files on them . I suppose it serves as a back-up, but it would have been nice to have each type saved to ta different card. Perhaps in a future Firmware update, one can only wish.....

I found an option in Lightroom  in the general preferences under the Import heading that you can tell Lightroom to treat jpegs next to RAW files as different images. So that solves my Problem.
