Lightroom Classic: Negative counts of photos in folders; deletion of photos has no effect

LR 7.3 / Macos 10.13.3 shows negative counts of photos in folders:

The folder "test pics" contains almost all of the 311 photos in the catalog, but it appears twice in the Folders panel, once with -2 photos and once with -5 photos.

When I try to delete from disk or remove any of the photos shown, nothing happens.

Just prior to this, I had exported these photos from a single master photo back into the catalog.

@John R. Ellis -- Thanks for sharing catalog. I opened it, and there I did not see any negative numbers. What happens if you reopen catalog. We will investigate this issue. Please try to check if this issue happens again. You may try to check it on new catalog, assuming this one got corrupted (we will investigate why it may have got corrupted)

I reopened the catalog and see incorrect, very small positive counts for the folders:

There are two inconsistencies:

1. The Folders panel only shows counts adding up to 5 photos, though the catalog contains 312 photos (almost all in the "test pics" folders).

2. There are two occurrences of the "Desktop/test pics" folder.
