Lightroom needs a more informative progress bar when it does tasks like conversion to DNG, making smart previews, etc. By more informative I mean it needs to show the number of files it processed out of total and estimated time for finishing the task.
Oh Sorry, I've just noticed it after I've posted that note. However, it still lacks estimated task finish time. On a different note, I'm curious to know if doing everything in parallel is an efficient way to do tasks. e.g. when I import Canon raw files and ask lightroom to convert them to DNG and create smart previews, it begins doing the tasks aforementioned in parallel. Is it the most efficient way of doing this, regarding penalty in disk access? If not, is there a way to force lightroom to do this in a queue? Thanks Kasra
