Lightroom mobile: Won't let me sign in

Had some trouble with getting Lightroom mobile on my iPad to sync the collections from my computer. Discussions with customer support led to varoious attempted solutions like restarting iPad, closing and opening Lightroom mobile and finally deleting and reinstalling the app. What I finally get left with is only the photos residing in my iPad pictures. App shows me as not signed in, but won't let me sign in. When I touch the "sign in" button, nothing happens. When I touch the "start free trial" it takes me to a window where i can put in my username and password which it accepts and then takes me right back to the app window saying I'm not signed in. Any ideas?

I see you deleted and reinstalled the app with no success.  Please try these steps:

1. Uninstall the Lightroom App from iPad.
2. Force Quit all Apps running on the iPad.
3. Power off and the power on the iPad.
4. Without opening any other apps, go to the App Store and download Lightroom again. 
5. Once installed, attempt to sign in.
