Lightroom mobile: Tether and direct import feature needed

I really need to be able to tether to my `canon 5d mkiv , and be able to import via lightning SD card reader direct into `Lightroom Moble CC.Many photographers would happily swap their laptop (and Capture One Pro ) for a lightroom / iPad tethering solution when on location. The current import method using Apple photos import then reimport into Lightroom is tedious. And you can’t let it import in background you have to stay on Photos until it has finished .. much time wasted and very annoying. If many other apps can access the lightning port direct for things like microphone , and audio interfaces then surely adobe can make lightroom do it. I’m really impressed so far with it and the syncing capability to my desktop. I used to hate lightroom , and most other pro photographers never use lightroom in favour of Capture One `Pro .One other point from backup / separate project point is we also really need to be able to create and save separate catalogues for archiving and starting new shoots / projects to keep everything together. As the lightroom catalogue is one of the main reasons why pros don’t use it .

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom CC for mobile: New iPad Pro usbc tethering.

You should now be able to use Lightroom mobile cc to tether directly to the new iPad Pro using a usbc cable and accessories. Can we make this possible?

Even with thunderbolt, Adobe and Apple should let us be wired tethered to our ipads.
