Lightroom Mobile: Select multiple items to import

It would be nice to have some additional options for selecting multiple images at importing from device instead of clicking one by one, as it is now, as it is quite a pain to select dozens or more images.

One quite easy and straightforward way would be that when one image is selected and already in selecting mode, on tap and hold at some other image all the images between the previously selected and the current would get selected. QuickPic did this nicely on Android.

Some other options could be selecting by date and also listing images under "All Images" and at import separated by dates.

Having just "Select All" or images one by one is not a great help when I selectively want to import sets of images from my phone to Lightroom CC.

Hi,

On Lightroom Android, you can long press on one image and drag your finger till the rage of images you want to select to import. Also for date wise selections you can click on left small icon of a segment (when in selection mode) to select whole segment. Does it not solve the purpose. Please let us know.

Hi Praveen,

This is really great! Wasn't that obvious so it's great to know, this makes importing and moving to albums already much more handy.

The listings could benefit from more separations into sections (like by month as well etc.) but I guess the app will evolve. :)

Hi Abrax,
First of all sorry for being so late in response. We have segmentation types (year, month, day) you can select all of the photos in that segment, by selecting whole of segment, you can achieve your objective. We felt it will be natural for Android users; Please post here if you have still concern about that, We are always ready to improve.

Thanks,
Praveen

Hi Praveen,

Thank you for your answer. I found segmentation in the meantime, this is also great. Maybe it would be more obvious if there was a segmentation by default, but as I remember it was hidden (no segmentation) before selecting one.
Keep up with good work! I think the forums contain lots of user requests which are valid so if I can ask for one thing, then it would be to listen to users and put the most demanded ones on your roadmap :)

Cheers!
