Lightroom for mobile: Preserve edit history

Lightroom Mobile does not carry over the edit history from the iPhone to Lightroom desktop.

This has always been the case for JPEGs. However, it is also true for the DNG raw files that LR Mobile can now take on the iPhone.

The rationale for Lightroom in general is to be a non-destructive raw editor. But for all practical purposes, LR Mobile is a destructive editor, since once the file is accessed on the desktop, there is no way to undo edits made on the phone.

You can still reset any slider adjustments by adjusting the slider itself. It's just the order that the adjustments were done that you can't access.

I agree, it would be really helpful if the edit history from Lightroom mobile would be saved to the desktop application.

For me it doesn't even have to be the complete step by step history. Any indication of what was changed in particular would be way more helpful than the current "From Lr mobile" entry in the history. Sometimes that entry just appears and I have absolutely no idea what has changed on the image. So my suggestion is to have something like "Brightness and contrast changed in Lr mobile" instead of "From Lr mobile".

Of course the complete step by step history would be even better.
