Lightroom mobile: Default filename causing duplicates

I take photos on my iPhone using the Lightroom Mobile camera App which uses a default file naming convention of APC_XXXX

I synch with Lightroom CC and (old habits die hard) I also still import into Lightroom Classic where I have around 21,000 images in my library

The problem is, as I have so many photos in LC, I am now getting import errors caused by filename duplications with images that already exist in my library. I have to individually rename the duplicates which can be tedious.

Is it possible to change the default file naming convent in LR Mobile to something else?

I agree with the request, but you know you can batch rename them once they're in LR Classic?

are you importing all the files into the same folder? i believe i have files with the same file name but in diff directories in one of my catalogs....i'll have to check (Im talking about lighroom classic).

Victoria - ty for reminder about renaming..i'll have to try that out.

They appear in my imported folder from LR mobile and I then move them into my main directory where all 21k images are - because I like "tidy" :-)

I guess I could start a new folder if duplicate filenames are not an issue between folders - thanks for that tip!

It would still be better if one could control the default file naming convention
