Lightroom mobile: Creating multiple sync folders on OSX

Lightroom Mobile sync frequently creates a new sync folder on my Mac. I keep cleaning them up, but at this point I got three new ones within a week or two. To be specific, I now have three sync folders called "Sony C5803" from one phone and two called "Sony C6602" from another phone.

Lightroom Mobile frequently forgets my credentials and this may be related to a new folder being created.

Am I the only one having this problem?

I'm having the exact same problem with both my Sony D5803 and my iPad! Everytime I manually add photos on my devices to sync, a new folder is being created.

I'm very surprised to find out that there don't seem to be many more users like us experiencing this.

By the way, how do you clean these folders up? It doesn't seem possible to move photos between these synced folders?

I'm on Windows btw.

Same problem here, running Windows 10, LR CC 2015.1.1 and getting multiple folders from my iPhone. I haven't yet spent time of really looking into this. A first glance suggested that folders created at later dates contain pictures already in folders with earlier dates. Looks like quite some hassle to clean this up AND making sure nothing gets deleted by accident.

I'm watching this thread because I'm having the same problem. Also, I'm on Mac OS v. 10.10.5 (Yosemite). If that helps.

Hi guys,

I'm told this issue was corrected in Lightroom mobile 1.3 or later, so it shouldn't create multiple folders any longer.

Are you still having this problem with current version of Lightroom mobile creating these folders?

Note: the existing folders that were created may persist, but new ones should no longer be created.

I've only ever had Lr Moblie Version 1.3, so the answer is yes, I'm still having this problem.

ETA: I need to know when Lr Mobile Version 1.3 was released. I downloaded Lr Mobile about 1.5 months ago, when I purchased Lightroom altogether. It may be that I originally had an older version, and android just updated it overnight or something. I'm still having trouble determining which folder it's putting photos now, but I have two questions is 1.3 really solved the issue.

1) Is there a way to consolidate/clean up this mess so that going forward I don't have all these errant folders?
2) What if I organize the original folders on my android device? I use some photo imaging tricks that only save to my internal storage space, rather than the large SD card that I have. Every month or so, I move these to the SD card, so that might trigger a re-sync, no?
