Lightroom Mobile creates a different folder at every sync from same device

I have Lightroom Mobile installed on my workstation (PC) and on my Android phone (LG G2). The problem is that synced images from my phone are placed in a different folder at every sync. Sometimes it creates a folder with 1 image, sometimes 250 images, even if they are all in the same exact folder in the phone. It seems like Lightroom Mobile sees my phone as a different device at every sync. See screenshot below

Same problem here with both Sony D5803 and iPad (Mini 2).

Everytime I manually add photos to Lr Mobible on my devices to sync, a new folder is being created in Lr on my PC.

I'm very surprised to find out that there don't seem to be many more users experiencing this.

What's even more annoying is that there doesn't seem to be a way to cope with this, since one can't move files between these synced folders? Does anyone have a solution?

I've had this happen too. Only solution seems to be to completely delete all sync data and start over. Quite annoying.
