Keyword counter in Lightroom. Hi Adobe, can you beautiful and smart people make my life a little bit easier by adding a keyword counter in the Keywording panel? I'm a stock photographer so I have a set limit of tags that I can attach to an image. What I do now is manually count the tags for each image. A small UI element displaying the keyword count in the Keywording panel would be so great!

It's not exactly what you're looking for, but the Search Replace Transfer plugin might make your workflow easier, by letting you filter photos by the number of keywords:

Hey. No need to make any plugins! You just need to insert the counter key words directly in the interface of the program !!! It is the right and the easiest way to work with the program efficiently !!! Thank you)

a counter on the interface would be great...
searching to get the info is too cumbersome.

I am a stock photographer. I'm very active in using your program to work with photobanks. I have a suggestion for improving the program. I would really like that the developers have added a counter keywords. This is very important, and it speeds up the work process of attribution photos. It is important to quickly know what kind of words has a picture! I with many other people have to count the words by hand is not very convenient! Because each photo must have a certain number of keywords, you do must be very well known. Thank you.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Keyword counter (simple but MUCH needed feature).

Hey guys,
I'm a professional user of Lightroom. I do stock photography for photo agencies (like Adobe Stock). We have to assign every image with a certain amount of keywords - so the images are searchable in the photobanks.

We assign between 30 - 50 keywords and Lightroom works good for this. Only problem is we can't see how many keywords we have assigned. We need to manually count every word on every single image. This takes a lot of time.
It would be so simple to have Lightroom do the counting for us. In 2016 a computer should be able to perform that task for us. Could you please consider implementing a keyword counter in next version of Lightroom? It would save us (and other stock photographers) so much time.
Thank you.
Best regards, Jacob Lund

It's unlikely Adobe will address this any time soon.  So if you want to work more productively in the mean time, you might consider the Search Replace Transfer plugin or the Data Explorer plugin, both of which will let you filter/group photos by the number of keywords assigned.

A good solution would be to add the counter number of keywords describing the photo. After adding few words I must count them manually which is quite time consuming. Thanks in advance for adding this simple function.

Do not count manually Jaca, just insert batch of tags into SS keyword suggestion. Must clear all displayed tags beforehand :) It's not ideal solution but at least it will tell you quickly where you're at whilst tagging,

Check out the next Lightroom update, which will report the count of entered keywords as part of the tooltip. Hope this will help speed up your workflow and let you focus on what you do best.

Thanks or the feedbacks.

As Simon Chen promised, LR CC 2015.6 / 6.6 provides a keyword count.  From Victoria Bampton's blog:

A Keyword Count is now available for stock photographers who need to apply a minimum number of keywords to each photo. To view the count, hover over the Keywords field in the Keywording panel when it’s set to Enter Keywords, and the count appears in the tooltip.

"Doesn't work if 'Will Export' is selected."

Mike, I suggest you start a new topic for this request. The original request has been "satisifed" and marked "implemented".
