Lightroom: Keeps freezing (win 7)

Lightroom keeps freezing on me at the drop of a hat. I can only do so much as scroll something and BOOM. Then, when I deactivate the window, it unfreezes instantly, only to freeze again when I do almost nothing.

Windows 7, LR 5.6. Catalog contains only a handful of pictures. Catalog is optimized just a couple of minutes ago, with no mutations to speak of in the mean time.

Freezes look like 13% CPU usage (100% on 1 core), no disk I/O and very little change in memory usage. The application window is completely unresponsive, but there *isn't* a typical Windows "not responding" window, not does Windows make the application window whitewashed.

These freezes started happening after editing a photo with a lot of spot removals, but I've moved to editing a different photo long since.

Update, I seem to be able to reproduce a freeze by scrolling with my mouse wheel. Dragging the scrollbar works as intended.

Greetings Martijn,

Double check to make certain you are using the latest video drivers (from your vIdeo card's website - not Microsoft) and you are also using the latests Mouse and/or Tablet drivers.
