Hello Vincenzo,

These profiles are not included in Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw. They are, as far as I know, discontinued by Canon, and I believe there last availability pre-dated lens correction support in LR/ACR.

One alternative is the free Adobe Lens Profile Downloader (see links below). A quick check and it appears that profiles for both lenses are available from the Adobe community via the ALPD.

Mac:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5491

Windows:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5492

Another alternative is to build your own using the free Adobe Lens Profile Creator (links to Mac and Windows downloads at the following URL).

The profile downloader is no longer available?  Where can I find Community generated profiles now?  (August 2018).

No, it's not available any more, but Adobe's created so many profiles now, all of the popular lenses are done and more are being added with each release.

The Canon EF 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 USM lens is a great lens, but Canon discontinued manufacturing it before Lightroom/Camera Raw came out, so Adobe has no interest in providing the profile.  The Community provided archive of distortion corrections had the information for this lens, but without the profile downloader, I don't know where to find the community-generated profile.

The point is that Adobe didn't simply import all the community-generated profiles into Camera Raw for the lenses they had not done themselves.

I tried using the profile of a couple of similar sounding Canon lenses which are provided in Camera Raw, to stitch together a panorama, but they gave a terrible result.

I guess my only option is to generate the profile myself.  It's just annoying because this profile did exist at one point, and profiles are teeny tiny files which would take very little for a company like Adobe to support, especially at a "use at your own risk" level.

Jill, drop me an email at mail@lightroomqueen.com as I may be able to access that old community profile.

Neither are listed as shipping with Lightroom. See this document; http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/mu...

Both, however, show up in the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader application as having been created and shared by users.
Windows: http://www.adobe.com/support/download...
Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/download...

You can install the appropriate version and download the user-created profiles.
