If I have my iPhone docked while trying to import form LR CC (latest version), LR gets the spinning beanball of death and hangs until the phone is undocked.

I am having no issues importing from the phone directly via USB cable. Go into Image Capture and make sure no other process is holding onto the Phone.

I'm not trying to import from the phone. I'm saying if the phone is docked and I'm trying to use the import dialog box in LR, LR stalls. The phone appears as a device in LR regardless if I'm trying to import from another volume etc.

Ok. With the phone attached to the computer via a USB cable, I see it as a device under Import. I can import files from my hard drive with no issue. So, the phone's being attached is not preventing the import of files from the local hard drive.

Can you go to Help>System Info and get me your version number.

Was there any delay before you were able to import? I admit every time it happens I cancel and dismount the phone after a minute or so of waiting for the beach ball to clear. Once I dismount the phone and go back to the Import box I'm able to access all my drives immediately. So something about having the phone docked is causing a hangup for me. Number of drives + phone?

That is the correct version number.

There was a delay of about 10-20 seconds or so while the photos counted and the previews were built (and they weren't built from the top down either!). The file I tested took a while but eventually it did come.

There are 15000 unimported photos on the drive.

When the spinning beach ball happens in my case nothing is accessible. No drive can be selected. If I stay in the Import window and dismount my phone the beach ball goes away immediately and I can import normally.

I have it set to No Application so it doesn't startup when the phone is connected.
