Lightroom: High DPI problems on Windows

Seems like Displays with High DPI settings are not perfect with Lightroom on Windows:

  • Lightroom 2015.5.1, Camera RAW 9.5.1
  • Windows 10
  • Resolution 3200x1800
  • Scaling 200%
Minor problem: The font sizing of the Identity plate is wrong. Look at the following "Library, Develop, Map, ...", even though font size is set to 35points. I suppose 200% is applied here even though it shouldn't? When I set font size to 8point it looks better, but looks worse when changing resolution to something smaller.

When changing resolution to 1920x1080 everything is fine with font size 36.

Major problem: All crosshairs/exact tools are off by a few pixels. As far as I can tell not the center of the crosshair is used as "key point" (the point/pixel being clicked), but the top left corner of the pointer symbol. This is the case e.g. for the ruler tool, the crop frame tool, white balance selector. The adjustment brush is interestingly spot on. Screenshot is hard because Windows does not include the mouse pointer.

Again this problem is resolved when changing the resolution to 1920x1080.

On this monitor 3200x1800 is the native resolution (Dell XPS 13). I have gotten used to this behavior already and kind of "know" where the selection point of the cursers are. Especially annoying with the ruler tool to straighten images.

This does NOT seem to be fixed in 2015.6.
The fonts are still huge. The (e.g.) straighten tool is still off a few pixel.

do you really think Adobe give a crap about Windows?  They just port it from the Mac failing to address any sort of compatibility problems.  I have been saying it for years.  As a professional I am forced to use Apple products.  I hate Apple products.  But Adobe have and always will only support Apple.  I guess you need a windows laptop for everything but editing and forced into spending 5 grand on a mac.
