Lightroom : Filter by "blury-ness"

My Lightroom catalogue is in the order of hundreds of thousands of photos occupying over 1TB of storage. However, I can imagine at least 25% of those images are duff.. i.e. unintentionally blury that there is no hope of recovering anything useful from them. I'm sure many others along with myself simply don't have the time to go through each folder and rate/reject photos.

It would be good if Lightroom was able to detect the blurriness in a photo, apply a 'blur' rating to the photo and then allow me to filter by this. There are a number of methods this can be done using OpenCV and I would be tempted to write a plugin to do this. However, the Lightroom plugin framework is limited in what can be done.

The whole concept can be expanded to cover other measures of "bad photos" such as over/under exposed etc.
