Export limits where I can export: Email, Hard Drive, CD/DVD.
And when I do save to the hard drive I can not locate the images.

You must be a Windows user! Sorry, I couldn't resist! :-) (A study years ago said Windows users spend 75% more time on 'file management" than Mac users.)  At the top of the Export window it says "Export to: (select "Specific Folder" and pick the one you want, or Desktop/Documents, whatever).

lol
no, believe it or not I'm actually not. Typically the export window will give me a 'full window' where I can name the file, choose the watermark etc. but this window is blank/empty except the only the options of locations.

Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing?

When you click the Export button, or chose Export from a Right Click and Popup menu, you should see a window like this.

At the top is the Export Location and then just below the Export To: field where you select whether you want to place the exported image in the same folder as the original, to a Specific folder or Choose folder later.
If you choose "Specific folder" then a "Choose" button appears just below that Export To: field. Click that Choose button and browse to the folder you want to store the export to.
On Windows you do not get the option to Name, and or Rename, the file, it is just a dialog where you choose the folder to store the exported file to.

Is this what you are seeing? If not then post one or more screen shots of what you are seeing.

That is weird!
Try this:
1. Quit Lightroom
2. Open Lightroom while holding Shift/option keys
3. Choose "reset preferences"

Let me know if that helps.
