So, I downloaded the latest version of Lightroom, and now I can no longer import anything, because it crashes my whole computer.

I can't! As soon as it opens and I try to click the various menu items it gives me the death spinning wheel.

Are you WIndows or Apple?  wonder if the Graphic processor option is on? and this could be that issue. I've had similar issues and someone provided a work around to edit control files to edit and I was ok. comments?

I'm on Apple/iMac. Graphic processor is on for Photoshop. I'm not sure I can shut it off in LR. Why is it on in LR?

Meaning, there's no major editing in LR as is in PS. E. G. 3D renderings, video editing etc.

Please update Lightroom to 2015.6.1.
You should see the Update button in the Creative Cloud application.

Thanks,
Sunil
