Today, I've upgraded to the recent Lightroom version and I'm totally confused with it
First, after import, all the images were sorted from recent to old by default which is fairly strange and breaks the previous behavior. why?
Also, it imports both RAW & JPEG versions - why???
The new version is so fkn strange and inconvenient, I regret I've upgraded and wanna either receive answers to my qqs or instruction how to downgrade to the old one

To get back to a previous version:

1. Open the Creative Cloud App and choose the tab for apps.
2. Find the Lightroom app row.
3. Click on the down arrow in the red area on the right
4. Click on Manage from the dropdown list
5. There's an option here for other versions; click on this
6. Now you have a list of all the old versions that are still available, and each has an option to install it.

Good luck!

Bring back the previous user interface.... This new interface SUCKS!  I lost the books I had been working on. I cannot use my current cloud as a storage place for my photos, instead, I have to use Adobe's Cloud..... For more money????  What happened to my library? What happened to my print profiles? In fact, how do I print? Why I am I paying for this dumbed down version of what was my primary tool to edit my images.  You have hurt my business and how I am able to provide service to my customers.  I cannot wait to hear how Adobe will reply.... If at all?

I am back on Lightroom Classic. Problem solved. I will avoid using Lightroom CC.

Alisa, Chris, it sounds like you both downloaded the new cloud client instead of the traditional folder-based Lightroom. It's easily done, as their naming is a little confusing.

The one you want is Lightroom Classic. It's the latest version of the one you've used for years, and still looks exactly the same as it has done for years.

You'll find it in your CC app as long as you have the Photography Plan. If you've purchased the Lightroom Plan, customer services can switch it free of charge.

I have Lightroom Classic and was able relocate that app on my computer. Odd thing how my LR Classic desktop icon switched to become LR CC without any Adobe announcement. The Goodnews is I am back up and running.

It's not a UI change, it's a completely different app. Look for Lightroom Classic in the CC app and install that. If it's not there, contact customer services to switch your plan, as we don't have access to your Adobe account to see what you're signed up for.

(Oh, and the release of the new app and renaming happened in October 2017... it's been a while!)
